Game Mode
The wait is the trip too.
Gate delays, restaurant waits, hour four in the car — Game Mode matches a game to where you are, how long you have, and what the energy is. Three games are free to try; the $3/month pass unlocks the full library and trivia packs.
Game Mode Pass active on this device. The full library is unlocked.
Three taps, three games
That’s all it asks. Free mode picks from the sample set; the Game Mode Pass unlocks the full library. Works offline; your taps are never stored.
Game Mode stores nothing about your child — no names, no ages, no scores, no history. The only thing it remembers (on this device only) is which games you starred as favorites.
The spirit of it
Games are offered, never required — and never traded for behavior. No “if you’re good” here, ever.
Every script has you flubbing a round early and enjoying it. Losing gracefully is the real curriculum.
Any tallies live in the moment and evaporate. Nothing about your child is stored — not a score, not a name, not a note.
Each card carries a pre-written, shame-free bail line. Stopping is always a fine move — for kids and for you.
Car rule, non-negotiable: the driver never plays spotting or visual games. Those games are flagged on their cards — passengers only. And quiet games are contests the kids opt into, never a tool to make anyone hush.
Step us down
When the energy is huge and the gate agent just said “forty more minutes,” don’t fight it — ladder it. Burn it, busy it, land it.
The library
Eighteen road-trip classics under our own names (their folk origins credited right on the card), and ten ParentTravelPal originals built around what actually helps a family settle. Three samples are free; the pass unlocks the full web library.
Trivia packs
Every question written for ParentTravelPal — nothing lifted, nothing scored, nothing saved.
Honest about the evidence
Each original game names its mechanism and wears an honest tier tag — moderate evidence for things like slow-exhale games (peer-reviewed research), down to practitioner practice for well-established parenting craft with limited trials. Game Mode supports ordinary family regulation during travel; it does not treat, diagnose, or substitute for care.
